Which Home Did They Pick?

Want to play House Hunters with us?

We've been showing homes to someone who is relocating from Texas, they would like to live in North, Northeast or Southeast Portland. It was essential for the home to have at least 3 bedrooms, they'd like room for a roommate, at least 2 bathrooms, and a bonus would be some extra space for crafts and storage. We found a really special one that they love!

Let's look at home #1

This home is a one-level ranch in Mt Tabor, 1 block from Mt. Tabor Park. Fabulous location and a remodeled open concept kitchen. Features a back deck that's accessible from the family room and primary bedroom, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Located in SE Portland, list price $524,900, 1,110 sf.

Let's look at home #2

This is Cape Cod home in the Piedmont neighborhood blends timeless style with modern updates. Features a fenced backyard, detached garage, fresh paint, 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. Great location blocks to Peninsula Park, New Seasons, and all Alberta Arts, Mississippi District, and Williams Corridor have to offer. Located in N Portland list price $500,000, 1,888 sf.

And now, let's see home #3

This Tudor is stylishly updated yet still keeps its original charm. Features classic built-ins, a cozy breakfast nook, a flexible floor plan spanning 3 levels, an attached garage, 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms plus a large bonus room in the basement. Located in N Portland, list price $530,000, 2,303 sf.

Answer:

Home #3! This was the first home that they walked in and immediately said WOW! It is much larger than a lot of the homes we were seeing in the price range and felt like a solid, quality home. The feel of the home right when walking in felt so welcoming and they could immediately see themselves living there. There's plenty of room for a potential roommate, and enough bathrooms to not have to share. The basement with the large bonus room and unfinished space plus the garage made it even more of a perfect fit, plenty of room for crafts/hobbies.
